1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the website at chinatransit.guide and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility
2.1 The Service is intended solely for users located outside of Mainland China. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, and are not a resident of, Mainland China.
2.2 You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2.3 You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Nature of the Service
3.1 Information Reference Tool Only. The Service provides general information for reference purposes only. All content, including eligibility assessments, policy summaries, travel preparation guides, and related materials, is provided solely as general information and does not constitute legal advice, visa advice, immigration advice, or any guarantee of any outcome.
3.2 Not an Official Government Service. The Service is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of the People's Republic of China, the National Immigration Administration of China, or any other governmental authority.
3.3 No Guarantee of Entry. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that use of the Service will result in successful entry into China or any other jurisdiction. Entry decisions are made solely and exclusively by Chinese border control authorities at the time of entry. We expressly disclaim any liability for denied entry, detention, deportation, or any other immigration outcome.
3.4 Policy Information Currency. Immigration and transit visa policies change frequently and without advance notice. While we make reasonable efforts to keep information current, we do not warrant that any information published on the Service reflects the most current official policy. You must independently verify all information with official government sources before making any travel decisions.
3.5 Official Sources. We strongly recommend that you consult official sources, including:
- The National Immigration Administration of China (www.nia.gov.cn)
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (www.mfa.gov.cn)
- The official SinoGuide application
- Your home country's embassy or consulate in China
4. Products and Purchases
4.1 Paid Products. The Service offers the following paid digital products:

4.2 Payment Processing. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By completing a purchase, you agree to Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. Paddle is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes, including EU VAT and UK VAT.
4.3 Accepted Payment Methods. We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal, as processed through Paddle.
4.4 Pricing and Currency. All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, applicable VAT will be displayed at checkout and collected by Paddle.
4.5 Access Entitlement. Upon successful payment verification, you will be granted access to your purchased digital content as follows:
- Active Period: The later of (a) 90 days from the date of purchase, or (b) 30 days after your planned entry date (if provided at checkout).
- Active Period Cap: The active update period is capped at twelve (12) months from purchase, regardless of planned entry date or extensions.
- Permanent Snapshot Access: After the active period expires, your purchased version of the content remains permanently accessible to you in its version-locked form.
- +30 Day Extension: You may purchase up to two (2) extensions per account to extend your active period by 30 days each. Extensions apply to the existing active period and do not reset content version.
4.6 Single-SKU Checkout. The budget planner and medical reference-card content are included in the Pre-departure China Guide and are not sold as a separate checkout add-on.
4.7 No Mainland China Payment Channels. We do not accept payments through WeChat Pay merchant accounts, Alipay merchant accounts, or any other payment channel operated by entities subject to Mainland China jurisdiction.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All content on the Service, including text, graphics, data compilations, software, and other materials (collectively, "Content"), is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Content solely for your personal, non-commercial travel preparation purposes.
5.3 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any Content without our prior written consent, except that you may print or download a reasonable number of pages for your personal offline use.
5.4 You may not use any automated means (including scraping, bots, or crawlers) to access or extract Content from the Service.
6. User Accounts and Authentication
6.1 Access to purchased content requires authentication via Google OAuth or email Magic Link. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
6.2 We collect only the minimum necessary information for authentication. For OAuth sign-in, we store only your OAuth subject identifier (sub), which is used solely to associate your account with your entitlement record.
6.3 If you are accessing the Service from within Mainland China, Google Sign-In may be unavailable. Email Magic Link sign-in remains available as a primary alternative.
6.4 You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at the contact address provided in Section 12.
7. Affiliate Relationships and Disclosures
7.1 Affiliate Links. The Service contains affiliate links to third-party products and services, including eSIM providers, hotels, flights, and train tickets. We may earn a commission if you purchase through these links, at no extra cost to you.
7.2 No Editorial Influence. Affiliate relationships do not influence the accuracy, completeness, or neutrality of the eligibility assessment tool or any immigration-related information. Affiliate links are placed only after primary content and call-to-action elements.
7.3 Third-Party Services. Any purchase made through an affiliate link is a transaction directly between you and the third-party provider, subject to that provider's terms and conditions. We are not a party to such transactions and are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of third-party providers.
7.4 FTC/ASA Compliance. Affiliate disclosures are displayed prominently on all pages containing affiliate links, in accordance with applicable advertising standards regulations.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service;
- Engage in any data mining, scraping, or automated collection of content;
- Transmit any unsolicited commercial communications;
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service;
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose other than your personal travel preparation;
- Share your account credentials or paid content access with any third party;
- Use a single account on more than three (3) devices simultaneously, or share session/login credentials with persons not co-traveling under the same itinerary;
- Repeatedly modify your planned entry date with the intent to extend the active update window beyond what your purchase covers;
- Maintain access to paid content after initiating a chargeback for a transaction in which the content was successfully delivered to you.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
- WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS;
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENCY, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT;
- WARRANTIES THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED WILL RESULT IN A SUCCESSFUL IMMIGRATION OUTCOME.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT ANY WARRANTY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or costs of substitute services, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
10.2 Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10.3 The limitations in this Section apply whether the liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10.4 Consumer Rights. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law, including the Hong Kong Consumer Protection (against Misleading Marketing Practices) Ordinance and, for users in the European Union or United Kingdom, mandatory statutory consumer rights.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12.2 Jurisdiction. Subject to Section 12.3, you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
12.3 Consumer Rights. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or United Kingdom, nothing in this Section prevents you from bringing claims in the courts of your country of residence or invoking mandatory consumer protection rights available under the law of your country of residence.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, by displaying a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
